Chow time at Chorley. 19 July.

This blog has been hijacked today (with the owners' permission!).
We expected to meet the intrepid travellers near Warrington, but as a result of their best mileage to date, we had to head on up to Chorley, where they were roughing it for the night in a Premier Travellodge. Mike says it was the best shower he's ever had!
Obviously he's not working Jamie hard enough as the lad had enough energy to run back to the room when Dad forgot his wallet; and then enough breath to talk non-stop through the evening. He occasionally had to be interrupted and reminded to eat some of the adult size gammon, two eggs and chips in front of him (followed by ice-cream as illustrated).
They must be close to half-way by now!

Wow ! Made it past Chorley
You're making some speed
And the pictures are great
You have had a great feed.
My ceiling's now painted
Downlighters are through
They shine a great light
When you're sat on the loo !
I've been into AB
Selecting my tiles
My feet now are knackered
I must have walked miles!
I've got out the Epsom
And here comes the joke
With no bath and basin
There's nowhere to soak!
So ride on boys, pedal
You going so well
And enjoy bath and showers
In every hotel !!!!!!

Jealous of your Travelodge facilities !!!

Blog again soon

I've now got a bath
And a shower base too
And some bits of old ply
Neath my wobbly loo
The basin was in
And then swiftly was out
To make way for tiling
And shed loads of grout
But I'm soon off on hols
And the tiles are on order
So they'll probably be sorted
Once you cross the border
Stay dry in your tent
Don't get down in the mouth
And pray the rain showers
Have all been left South
God speed to your pedals
The miles will soon fly
And wave to our Audi
If you see us drive by !

See you soon
Keep up the good work
