Over the Forth!

Mike and Jamie here, in an internet cafe in Queensferry.

From Newby we had another 50-odd mile day to the wonderfully named Bush of Ewes farm north of Langholm. Back in Scotland, yippee!

We decided to stay on the A7 since traffic was light and gradients easier. We managed 61 miles to arrive at Lothianbridge campsite on the outskirts of Edinburgh and a handy chipper.

Spent all morning getting round Edinburgh to Queensferry and the bridge. It's a lot easier by car!

Onwards and upwards - we've now done nearly 700 miles!

Hello you intrepid cyclists !!

You are both doing a fantastic job especially in this awful weather, having bikes (the motored variety!) up from Dorset at the weekend I think you deseve a medal !

Keep up the good work and stay safe, looking forward to seeing your photos at the end soon !

Hi Mike & Jamie

Pete & Donna from Orkney here. Sounds like you're doing great: well done! Can you give us an ETA for John O' Groats? We could come over with the kids and welcome you...

North of the Central Belt at last! You must be on the last few laps by now - save some strength for Helmsdale Braes and the well-named Latheronwheel.....
